No Sri Lankan Players in IPL 2012

Sri Lanka has ordered its cricketers to return home leaving IPL for Practice before next month’s tour to England. Sri Lanka wants to prioritize national games over IPL.

Sports Minister Mahinadananda Althugamage said  ”In future, national cricket players can participate in foreign tournaments only in a manner that will not affect practices of the Sri Lankan national team”

11 Sri Lankan national players from IPL will have to return home despite of their commitments in the IPL 20Twenty tournament.

There is no clarity on penalty for missing practice, but it is said they may get dropped if they don’t comply with orders from ministry.

Kolaveri is going to IPL 2012

Anirudh Ravichander the Composer of the song Kolaveri Di is planning to tour Inida. He may also perform at IPL season 5 inauguration ceremony.

Anirudh has also commited that he has been approached to do a mulitcity tour with different artists. The actor in the song Dhanush is also expected to perform.

While the question remains as to what the composer and his team of musicians can do on a live stage with such a popular song, Anirudh says that he has really not even begun thinking what to do with the concert. "We'll begin working on that as soon as everything is confirmed."
